Traveling has been a big part of my life since I was 17 years old and I boarded my first Caribbean cruise for spring break! Since then, I was hooked on travel and have had the opportunity to travel to 38 US states plus China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Mexico, Jamaica, Thailand, Iran, Qatar, England, and many others beautiful countries!
I began my career in the travel industry while I was living in Hong Kong and worked as a Travel Specialist planning adventure trips to all corners of the world - China, Iceland, Namibia, Turkey, Peru, and even Antarctica! No trip was too exotic!

Sonya did an amazing job planning a trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand, for a large group of friends to attend our wedding. Weddings can be stressful, and I was so glad to have Sonya’s help in taking care of all of the trip details and logistics for our group of friends. She was able to secure a block of rooms at a conveniently located resort at a very attractive group rate, and she was extremely proficient in organising all the various flight schedules for our guests and coordinating the travel and accommodations. Even when there were last minute changes, such as guests who cancelled last minute, Sonya was able to negotiate to have those charges applied towards spa or other services for our guests at the resort, so we were not subject to no show room charges. We always love it when Sonya is our travel planner because we know we can sit back and relax because she knows how to think on her feet and make the most optimal arrangements to suit our needs. In late 2016 my wife and I, along with another couple, booked a Caribbean Cruise through Sonya Gerber. She patiently answered every question we posed and expertly guided us through the process of selecting the right cruise, choosing the right accommodations and advising on potential hotels to stay at prior and after the cruise. Her interest in ensuring we made knowledgeable choices resulted in our complete satisfaction with everything on board the ship.
Shortly after returning home, Ms. Gerber contacted us to ask us how we enjoyed our trip. We assured her that every aspect of the voyage that she had arranged exceeded our expectations. As an aside, we mentioned our concerns with the shore excursions we had booked ourselves. She immediately told us that even though she had no part in arranging them, she would look into what had gone wrong and report back to us. Within days she let us know that she had arranged a 50% refund of the charges on 2 tours and that she was negotiating with the provider of the 3rd to address our concerns.
Our experience with Sonya Gerber’s efforts to ensure our complete satisfaction with our cruise is an example of what customer service and satisfaction should be. We know who we will contact for our next cruise vacation.
